Sue Palmer and her Motel Swing continue to attract enthusiastic crowds.  The band plays blues, swing, boogie woogie and jazz standards at clubs, park concerts and events across San Diego and throughout California.   Motel Swing is one of the most popular bands in the AFCDJS monthly concert series and at the SD Jazz Fest where they are an integral part of the Saturday night “Swing Extravaganza.”  Their excellent mix of tempos and a strong beat help to make the band a favorite of dancers no matter what ones style may be.

     Led by the “Queen of Boogie Woogie” on piano, the other Motel Swingers are: April West, trombone; Jonny Viau, tenor sax; Steve Wilcox, guitar; Pete Harrison, bass; Sharon Shufelt, drums; Deejha Marie and Sharifah, vocals.
