Born in Los Angeles and raised in Orange County, California, Charles built his first electric guitar from scratch at the age of ten. He played in local rock and country bands until, in his early twenties, he embarked on a musical journey that took him from Florida to Fresno, Memphis to Australia, Japan to Bahrain, and points in between playing blues, swing, rock, and jazz.
